Our Team

I am from Roanne in the Massif Central. I studied history and got a PGCE in Exeter before taking over Alliance Francaise-Devon in 2004. I love speaking English and teaching French. Witnessing students’ progress is extremely rewarding. I also love dark chocolate, swimming in the sea and French literature. 

I am from Paris. I first worked in business and then moved to London to learn English. I taught in Germany before joining Alliance Française-Devon in 2017. I am a qualified teacher with a solid experience in teaching French to adults as well as children. I love languages and foreign cultures, this is why I am now learning Mandarin Chinese.

I am from Aquitaine. With a Masters degree in teaching French as a foreign language, I started working at Alliance Française-Devon in 2004. I want to give learners the opportunity to learn French in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I also love talking about food and sharing a delicious meal with students.

I am from la Réunion and my background is in textile and music. I  love sea swimming and gardening.
After teaching in secondary schools, I joined AF-Devon in 2020. I particularly enjoy the interactions with our students who are bringing so much to the group.

After studying history, literature and languages at universities in the UK and Paris, I taught in the French university system for a number of years before moving to Exeter, where I have been teaching French for the last ten years. I aim to make my lessons at the Alliance française as interactive as possible, helping students develop both confidence in their French and an appreciation of French language and culture.

I am from a small place in the Alps called the Ubaye Vallée. I grew up  across Brussels, Paris and London, becoming a fluent English speaker. I love  learning languages and understanding how much a culture is expressed through language. Most recently I have taken up learning Arabic. I enjoy exploring etymological origins,  leading creative language learning games and  learning from students and their own experiences !

I come from Vendée. I hold a PhD in medieval literature, have taught French language and culture at the University of Exeter, and joined the Alliance Française in 2025. I love languages, the way they expand my world. I have a curious mind: when I’m not in the classroom exchanging ideas with students, I spend time progressing my research. I also like painting.

Breton-born, I have been living in the United Kingdom for the past five years. I enjoy creating moments of exchange and discovery around the French language and culture. A former trainer in France, I value above all transmitting with simplicity and authenticity. Outside of work, you’ll often find me hiking the scenic trails of Devon.
