Wine Club, Session 2 - Moderate Climate
Join our French Wine Club
Take a journey through France’s most renowned wine regions—all while speaking French! We have three exclusive events for our French-Speaking Wine Club in Exeter, perfect for wine enthusiasts eager to explore the diversity of French regions. This is beginner- to intermediate-level French friendly. Each event offers a rare opportunity to taste and learn about six carefully selected wines, including sparkling, white, rosé, red, and dessert wines. Our Wine Club will be hosted at Radford Community Kitchen at the Exeter Community Centre, featuring a delicious selection of French canapés paired with the wines.
We’re honored to have Rebecca Mitchell, a certified sommelier and WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) course educator with over 27 years of experience, leading these tastings. Rebecca’s engaging and approachable style, combined with her deep expertise, ensures an unforgettable experience for all.
Joining her are Ellen McNabb and Chris Wilson, who will assist and host French wine quizzes with surprise rewards!
Each session will highlight a different region of France. This second session will take you on a journey through the heart of France’s most iconic wine regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, where the sun brings out fuller flavors and deeper complexity. Expect well-rounded Cabernet Sauvignons, bold Syrahs, and versatile blends, offering the perfect balance of richness and finesse.
