Moi, Tituba sorcière... is a novel by the French Guadeloupean writer Maryse Condé, first published in 1986.
Summary: This novel offers a re-imagining the story of Tituba, a young woman from the Caribbeans whose parents were slaves, and is accused of being a witch. Tituba is a real historical figure, but she has received little attention from historians. In this novel, Maryse Condé uniquely recreates Tituba's story, providing her with a unique voice recounting her life as a healer in the late 17th century America, a time marked byslavery and puritanism.
